I love the first picture because you controlled the lighting on the left side of his face very well. I think if you blur the background the photo would look cool.
This is a really good contact sheet! I personally like picture 6 because the black and white filter makes it look dramatic. The pose in the picture also looks really cool! The seventh picture looks like candid shot too.
I think your best photo is "pic 7" because even though your subjects face isn't really showing it looks as if there is a story to the photo
